What is Tom’s Take?

Ansel Adams once quipped:

“The single most important component of a camera is the twelve inches behind it!”

These pages contain examples of the way I have learned to see and capture the world, it’s beings, places, and happenings.

If what happens in my head…the 12 inches behind the camera…resonates with you and you have something you’ve created and you’d like to have captured, I’d be grateful if you let me know.

Some of these shots are my best. In all honesty, some of them are not. Instead some show more of what I’ve continued to learn not to do over the years, but the moments and memories they spark represent what’s special about the camera to me. I hope some of them resonate with you as well.
